In 2011, after obtaining her DEC in visual arts and moving to Montreal, Mireille was called by her own ambitions outside the academic frame. Which led her to travel the world and experiment as an entrepreneur. In 2015, she joined the fine arts benches at Concordia University to deepen her visual research and artistic production. Mireille always had the challenge of balancing her career between artistic practice and modeling contracts. It is also this duality that fuels her production. Along with this deep connection between portraiture and the notion of body image, she keeps on pushing the visual language within her painting by employing conflicted textures and incandescent colors that live organically in a collage cooked by her travel and encounters.
